*St. Augustine High School Investiture Ceremony*
"Leadership is not about being in charge. It is about taking care of those in your charge." – Simon Sinek
St. Augustine High School recently held its investiture ceremony, a momentous occasion where the newly elected student council was formally welcomed. The ceremony commenced with the entrance of the student council, led by our Principal, Brother Vinay, and Manager, Brother Ronald.
The event began with the lighting of the lamp, followed by a heartfelt prayer. The introduction of the newly elected council highlighted this year’s addition of two new roles: the Creative Leaders, who will foster creativity within the school.
Following the introductions, the council was confirmed by the Principal, followed by the blessing of the badges. Proud parents then presented the badges to their children, while teachers adorned them with sashes. The school captain and House captains received their flags from the Principal.
The school captain took the oath of office, followed by an oath taken by a student representative, pledging respect and support for the school leaders. The Principal then addressed the gathering, inspiring the audience with his words. The vote of thanks was delivered by Senior School Coordinator, Mrs Ranjeeta Gomes, marking the end of the formal proceedings. The ceremony concluded with a thrilling march by the student council to the beat of the drum, leaving everyone inspired and excited for the year ahead.
