Description:
On the 26th of July, St. Augustine's High School celebrated Go Green Day with great enthusiasm and a series of activities aimed at promoting environmental awareness among students.
The day began with a T-shirt painting competition where students showcased their creativity by painting messages on their T-shirts that highlighted the importance of a safe environment and how we can take care of nature.
To reinforce the green theme, students brought green items in their tiffins for recess, encouraging healthy eating habits and a connection with nature. The spirit of the day was further emphasized by teachers, who all wore green attire to show their support.
Additionally, students were asked to bring saplings, resulting in the collection of over 150 saplings. Two of these saplings were planted on the school grounds today, with plans to plant the remaining saplings on the campus in September.
The Go Green Day activities successfully raised environmental awareness and fostered a sense of responsibility towards nature among the students and staff.
