On 7th June 2025, St. Augustine’s High School, Vasai, marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of the Edmund Rice Block, a dedicated facility for the Pre-Primary section. This momentous occasion was a blend of solemnity, celebration, and gratitude, held in the gracious presence of esteemed guests, staff, students, and well-wishers.
The event was graced by Rev. Bishop Thomas D’Souza, who offered prayers and formally blessed the building. He highlighted the importance of nurturing the young minds with faith and education, asking the school community to continue fostering love, wisdom and spiritual growth.
The ceremony began with a prayer service and the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolising enlightenment and new beginnings. Rev. Bishop Thomas D’Souza led the blessing of the new block, invoking God’s grace upon the students and educators who would occupy it.
A vibrant cultural program followed, featuring soulful hymns, spirited dances, and heartwarming performances by students from various sections of the school. These performances captured the spirit of gratitude and joy that filled the campus.
