Description:
As part of our greener initiative, students were asked to bring seeds of mango, jamun, jackfruit, and tamarind. Our school has a large campus with an unused area at the far end, which we identified for this activity. With the help of Social Justice Leaders from Classes 9 and 10, along with teachers and the principal, we visited the vacant space to scatter the seeds. This effort aims to encourage natural growth and increase the green cover on campus. The students found the experience meaningful and refreshing. Many shared that it was their first time walking through open grassy spaces and mud, which they don’t usually find in today’s concrete surroundings. They enjoyed being close to nature and felt proud to contribute to the environment. This simple act of sowing seeds left a lasting impact on them.
