π± Mango Seed Collection Drive β Season 2 π±
Organised by St. Augustine's High School
This summer, we at St. Augustineβs School proudly took the lead in organizing Season 2 of the Mango Seed Collection Drive β a beautiful and eco-friendly initiative carried out in collaboration with the Social Justice Team. The campaign aimed to promote sustainability and environmental care among students, one mango seed at a time!
The drive turned out to be a resounding success, as six vibrant schools from our community enthusiastically joined hands to support the cause and contribute to a greener tomorrow. The participating schools were:
1. π Nirmala Niketan School, Manickpur
2. π± St. Xavier High School, Manickpur
3. πΏ Notre Dame School, Vasai
4. π³ Isaac Newton School, Ramedy
5. πΎ Nazareth Convent High School, Stella
6. πΌ Canossa High School, Manickpur
Each mango seed collected was a small yet powerful step toward a cleaner, greener, and more hopeful future. From classrooms to homes, students came together to collect mango seeds β tiny treasures that will soon bloom into mighty trees. The campaign helped spread awareness about environmental responsibility while encouraging children to take real action for a greener Earth.
After the collection, all the seeds were donated to Pelar Nursery, where they will be carefully nurtured into saplings. These saplings will later be distributed to farmers, supporting reforestation and helping to restore green cover in local areas β a beautiful example of how a small act can grow into a large impact.
